The view from the 17th floor was nice, overlooking the lake between buildings. Close to Michigan Avenue and food spots like Lou Malnati's. Plus, having a Starbucks in the hotel was super convenient.

I asked for a suite upgrade and Ashante, the front desk lady who checked us in, made it happen. Not only did we get a spacious 3 bathroom suite, but breakfast vouchers and brownie vouchers too.

It wasn’t inexpensive, but given the perks it was still acceptable.
