I loved staying in this 4 star hotel. The venue was located next to Millennium park, the theaters and restaurants. It was also walking distance to Macy's on State Street. The hotel of choice in Chicago.
Well, no view.
-
Planned to see Chicago major attractions and it was excellent home base for visiting all of them. Lots of food available in the restaurant. Location: the hotel was so close to museums, theatre, CTA trains. Also, the venue was walking distance to a skateboard park.

We loved the staff and location, all the provided essentials.
-
Special note of thanks to concierge. We had double beds and we all slept well.
Was all great.

L Geographic location
The deplorable bedding. Insignificant staff

Exceptional location.
Small bedroom and bathroom.

Upon request, a coffee and tea maker was provided free of charge. Despite its central location, no street noise can be heard.
Wi-Fi connection worked only 24 hours, then had to get a new password. The elevators to the top floors were not all in operation, so waiting times arose.
-
Very nice ambience. Very good location in Chicago - everything within walking distance
Renovation of heavily used corridors and bathrooms

The situation is excellent! The house itself is a piece of glorious history!
On arrival - without having seen the room - we were told to book an upgraded room, one probably tries to sell the rooms better than offered in this way! In fact, the bar wasn't full, the bedside lamp was broken. On the evening before the departure this was - without being requested by us - fixed.
-
The ambience of a "Grant Hotel" is really impressive. In addition, the convenience service was practical and the breakfast appealing and by American standards very balanced.
-
A classic grand hotel with a lot of flair and great facilities. There were many very good possibilities to meet in the hotel, e.g. a very good restaurant. In a few minutes you could reach almost all the sights of Chicago.
The rooms were big, but a little dark.
-
The location of the hotel is very good and central in a safe part of Chicago.
The additional costs of city taxes for the overnight stay were horrendous and I was shocked at the amount we had to pay. This was not known to me before.
-
Small, but very good buffet, completely sufficient. Very good location, rooms could be renovated. But for the price very good hotel; I would book again in Chicago!
I think the room's a little old-fashioned, but all right. Elevators rather slow . But you have some time on vacation!

Perfect location, close to the metro, buses, points of interest. The lobby is majestic and worth a visit.
The rooms need to be refreshed and equipped. Scaled paint, furniture to change, coffee maker to provide (at least one kettle!!!)
